Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to an apartment fire in the first 100 block of Dalhousie Drive Wednesday evening March 25, 2020.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke coming from the building and launched an offensive attack.
Two people were rescued from the structure. One person was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control within a half hour.
Damage was mostly contained to the suite where the fire originated although some other parts of the building did sustain smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
