The RCMP is investigating a structure fire that caused significant damage to a building in Cross Lake.
Police say that around 5:30 am on June 3, 2021 a community security guard was patrolling a residential area when he spotted smoke coming from an older building in the community.
RCMP responded along with the fire department. Firefighters launched an attack on the blaze and were able to get the fire under control but not before the building suffered significant damage from smoke, flames and water.
RCMP believe the cause of the fire is suspicious and are continuing to investigate alone with members of the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
