Winnipeg Police have busted a 28-year-old man for allegedly breaking into 83 vehicles in a three-month crime spree between September 11 and November 28, 2017.
The suspect is accused of breaking into 15 buildings and gaining access to the parking garages. Once there he would smash windows in vehicles parked there stealing items inside.
The crime spree netted the suspect $8,000 in stolen property but the estimated damage total exceeds $89,000.00.
Brent Vernon Arksey, 28 from Winnipeg has been charged with 58 counts of Mischief under $5,000, 25 counts of Theft under $5,000, twelve counts of Break and Enter and 16 counts of failing to comply with Probation.
Arksey also had a number of warrants out for his arrest for Theft Under, Drive Disqualified, Drive Carelessly, Fail to Comply with Probation, Child Improperly Restrained x3 and Fail to Comply with Probation.
Arksey has been detained in custody.

- First 100 block of Van Hull Way
- 2800 block of Pembina Hwy. X2
- 1800 block of Gateway Rd.
- First 100 block of Bison Dr.
- 600 block of Warde Ave.
- 100 block of Hill Grove Point
