Firefighters had to call in a front end loader to remove deep snow near the building so that they could bring trucks and crews to the scene. A defensive attack was launched.
The property had been the scene of several previous fires including a large fire on September 28, 2021, that destroyed one of the warehouse buildings.
Firefighters also had to battle the weather which resulted in trucks, water lines, personal protective equipment and tools quickly freezing up. Officials also say that the scene is extremely icy and crews have to use extra caution as they work to prevent injury.
Firefighters are expected to be on the scene for an extended period of time as they will maintain a watch for hotspots once the fire is declared under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
