Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to fire in the 500-600 block of McMeans Avenue East shortly after 9:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2022.

When crews arrived they found a well involved fire in a detached garage.

An attack was launched and the blaze was eventually brought under control. No injuries were reported.

The fire caused damage utility lines in the vicinity.

Firefighters were sent back to the scene twice overnight to ensure the fire did not reignite.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
