Around 1:30 am on Saturday October 8,2016 a man and a woman were killed after the van they were travelling in crashed into a building in the 700 block of McPhillips Street.
When emergency crews arrived the pair were alive but in critical condition. They were rushed to hospital but later died of their injuries.
Police believe that speed played a factor in the collision.
The two have been identified as:
Janne LAHTEENMAKI, 35 from Winnipeg, and Sarah SANDERSON, 36 from Dugald, Manitoba
