On Wednesday, July 4, 2018, a vehicle travelling east on Hamilton Avenue crossed the boulevard and westbound lanes and crashed into a bus bench and two parked cars.
It happened around 7:00 pm. The driver and passenger in the vehicle were taken to hospital in unstable condition but have both been upgraded to stable.
30-year-old Ayush Chaudhary from Winnipeg is facing a number of charges for his alleged involvement including:
- Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
- Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm
- Driving While Ability Impaired Causing Bodily Harm
- Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample Blood
- Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample Breath
He was detained in custody.
