A 21-year-old female who climbed a construction crane near Sherbrook Street and Wolseley Avenue is facing charges, say police.
Around 7: 40 pm on September 9, 2021, emergency crews were called to the area after callers alerted police to the female high up in the crane.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service’s Technical Rescue Task Force sent members up the crane’s ladders while using rope systems for protection. When they reached the female she refused to be lowered by ropes. Firefighters helped the woman down the ladders. She was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
Mckayla TreasureAnita McKay has been charged for her alleged involvement with Mischief over $5,000.
