COVID-19 test appointments available beginning Tuesday

The provincial government has implemented an appointment-based scheduling system at some of its COVID-19 testing sites in Winnipeg.

Beginning Tuesday, October 20, 2020 people seeking testing for the virus can go online or call to make an appointment to get a COVID-19 test.

“As we roll out these new initiatives, Manitobans who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms will be able to get tested faster and receive their results more quickly online,” said Health, Seniors and Active Living Minister Cameron Friesen. “We are making improvements every day to reduce wait times and keep people safe.”

Initially, appointments will only be available at the following testing sites:  604 St. Mary’s Rd., 2735 Pembina Hwy. and 1181 Portage Ave. All other sites remain on a first-come, first-served basis.

You will be able to make an appointment by calling 1-855-268-4318 or visiting the government website at: www.manitoba.ca/covid19/updates/testing.html
