150 warnings and 161 COVID-19 enforcement tickets were issued last week (May 24 to 30) setting a new record for the highest number of tickets issued in a given week since the pandemic began
144 individuals were given $1,296 tickets for breaching public health orders related to gatherings.
Nine $298 tickets were handed out to people who refused to wear a mask in indoor public places.
One ticket for $5,150 was issued to a person violating the Federal Quarantine Act.
One $5,000 ticket was handed out to a business in breach of orders.
Manitoba Justice also went to court last week and applied for six arrest warrants for repeat offenders.
Manitoba officials have vowed to continue to enforce public health orders across the province. The investigation continues into recent large gatherings and rallies and more fines are expected.
