The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 2.7 per cent.
45 of the new cases are in the Prairie Mountain Health region, 16 new cases in the Southern Health region, nine cases in the Winnipeg Health region, one case in the Interlake-eastern Regional Health Authority and one case in the Northern Health Region.
Manitoba Public Health said that an intentional testing program related to known clusters in communal living communities make up most of the cases reported today in Prairie Mountain Health. The case in the Northern Health region is linked to a previously announced case from Prairie Mountain Health region.
Seven of the cases reported in the Southern Health region are related to the outbreak at Bethesda Place personal care home in Steinbach with three cases being residents and four staff members. Currently, Bethesda Place has a declared outbreak and the Pandemic Response level in the facility is listed as critical (RED).

Seven people are reported being treated for the virus in hospital with one person currently in intensive care.
There are currently 356 active cases of COVID-19 in the province with 576 people listed as recovered.
The number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 12.
1,839 laboratory tests were completed on Saturday. According to Manitoba Public Health, the total number of completed tests since early February is 125,300.
Prairie Mountain Health region remains under a restricted (ORANGE) risk level. As of August 24, 2020, people in that region are mandated to wear masks at all indoor public places and all indoor and outdoor public gatherings. Public gatherings are restricted to no more than 10 people.
Manitoba Public Health strongly encourages everyone to stay home when feeling ill, practice proper and hygiene, cover your cough and practice physical distancing when you are with people outside your household. Wearing a mask is encouraged when physical distancing can’t be practised.
