306 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified since Friday including:100 cases on Sat., Sept. 25; 113 cases on Sun. Sept. 26; and 93 cases today
Two more deaths from COVID-19 were reported on Sunday:
- a male in his 40s from the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region; and
- a male in his 60s from the Winnipeg health region.
Of the cases reported today, 67 were not fully vaccinated.
The five-day test positivity rate is currently 2.7 per cent provincially.
The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba is 60,294.
There are currently 646 active cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba with 58,439 people listed as recovered.
77 Manitobans are in hospital with COVID-19 of which 19 are in intensive care.
2,480 tests were completed yesterday. Since the virus first arrived in February 2020, there have been 993,150 tests completed.
The total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in Manitoba is 1,209.
Manitoba Public Health noted in a media release today that Manitoba is clearly in the beginning of a fourth wave of the pandemic and issued a reminder to continue to practice the fundamentals, reduce the number of close contacts and to get immunized as soon as possible.
