Court to decide on second doctor-assisted death
Manitoba Justice Shawn Greenberg is expected to make a decision Friday afternoon over an application for a doctor-assisted death.
The applicant, known as patient number 2, is a woman with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) that has progressed to the stage of her being barely able to move. She is requesting permission to die so that she won’t suffer some of the other effects of the disease like loosing the ability to swallow, chew or talk.
