RCMP in Swan River is investigating after a male and female were assaulted and robbed on Thursday, April 15, 2021.

Police say the couple had stopped at a stop sign at 1st Street North and 9th Avenue North around 3:00 am when a group of people opened the vehicle’s doors and pulled the pair out of the SUV. Both victims were then assaulted and robbed before the assailants fled.

Police say that the victims were treated in hospital for the injuries they received before being released.
