Cop stuck by needle during arrest

Winnipeg Police have busted a 35-year-old male after they caught him urinating in the back lane on Marion Street Saturday night, December 8, 2018.
Police say that they were patrolling the area due to the high number of recent break-ins. Just before 11 am the officers stopped the man and noticed he had a crowbar in his possession prompting his arrest.
As an officer was searching the suspect he was poked by a used syringe with what appeared to be blood inside it. A second syringe was also found on the man containing methamphetamine. Police also found screwdrivers, cutters and pliers in the suspect’s possession.
The officer who was poked by the needle was treated in hospital.
The suspect was released on a promise to appear in court.
