Cop refuses to blow…placed on leave

Winnipeg police have placed one of their own on administrative leave after he refused to provide a breath sample.

On Sunday, November 26, 2017, the Fire and Paramedic Service responded to a collision between a vehicle and a fence on Enniskillen Avenue near McGregor Street.

The driver, an 8-year member of the Winnipeg Police Service was arrested but according to police, he has not formally been charged.

The WPS is continuing the investigation but has informed the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba of the incident.
