On Monday, August 31, 2020, staff at Stony Mountain Institution found a package containing more than $420,000 in contraband destined for the prison.
The package was found on the perimeter of the minimum security unit and contained cell phones and chargers, prepaid SIM cards, THC concentrate, shatter, steroids, tobacco, marijuana, hashish, and rolling papers.
Correctional Service of Canada said that the RCMP have been contacted about the seizure and will be investigating.
