Conservation and Climate Fund to support local initiatives

The Manitoba government announced on Thursday, July 9, 2020, that they will provide up to $600,000 this fiscal year to organizations for local green initiatives.

According to Conservation and Climate Minister Sarah Guillemard, grants will be available that support key priorities of the Manitoba Climate and Green Plan in one or more of three key categories: climate and green technology; water; and nature and resilient landscapes.

“As Manitoba continues to restart our economy and create jobs, we want to ensure we keep on track to become Canada’s cleanest, greenest, most climate-resilient province,” said Guillemard. “This fund will generate new project ideas for cleaner water, climate adaptation and low-carbon economic growth.”
