Compliments Chili Powder recalled due to possible salmonella contamination

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for Compliments brand Chili Powder sold in Canada due to Salmonella contamination.

This recall was triggered after  tests were performed by the CFIA test result. According to the government agency, more products may be recalled as they continue to investigate.CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace.

Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

Check to see if you have the recalled product in your home. If you do CFIA say that they should be thrown out or returned to the store they were purchased from.

If you think you have become sick because of using the recalled product call your doctor. Symptoms of Salmonella contamination may include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.
