The Commuter Challenge is a friendly competition that hopes Manitobans will cycle, walk, run, take a bus or carpool to an from work for a one week period in early June. This year the event runs from June 3 to 9.
“I look forward to hopping on my bicycle to commute to the Legislative Building next week,” said Sustainable Development Minister Rochelle Squires
Last year participants in Manitoba reduced their carbon footprint by 94,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide and logged more than half a million kilometres using green transportation.
