Three men are in custody after police caught them running away from a commercial break-in and robbery.
Early Sunday morning, January 28, 2018, police responded to a commercial alarm in the 1100 block of Taylor Avenue. As officers, including two k-9 units, arrived they saw several people running away across the parking lot. The front window of the business had been smashed out and a getaway vehicle was parked in front of the business.

Police tracked down three men in the area and arrested them.
As officers investigated they found that a lot of glasses and sunglasses had been stolen from the business. A search of the car uncovered items stolen from a break and enter earlier in the morning that happened on Chaikoski Court.
Police say that the vehicle had also been stolen from the 400 block of Edmonton after it had been left running unattended with the keys inside.
Shaun William Cook, 18 from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
- Break, Enter and Theft – Place
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 X3
- Break, Enter and Theft – Dwelling
- Fail to Comply with Sentence X5
Rylie Johimal Keith Wiggins, 20 from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
- Break, Enter and Theft – Place
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Break, Enter and Theft – Dwelling
- Fail to Comply with Sentence X2
John Henry Sinclair, 18 from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvementwith:
- Break, Enter and Theft – Place
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Break, Enter and Theft – Dwelling
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance
All three men were held in custody.
