Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to an industrial fire on Messier Street around 11:40 pm Tuesday night, May 7, 2019.
When crews arrived they found smoke coming from a large pile of shredded automobile by-products that were inside a three sided structure.
It took firefighers about half an hour to get the blaze under control. A front-end loader was used to move the shredded material around so crews could access hot-spots.
No injuries were reported and the fire did not extend to the structure of the building.
The cause of the fire has been determined to have been an accident.
