A 69-year-old Rossburn man is facing a number of charges related to impaired driving after a collision Tuesday evening, October 6, 2020.
Police say that around 7:30 pm one of their officers came upon a collision at the intersection of Highway 264 and Highway 45 in Rossburn.
An SUV was attempting to turn south onto Highway 264 when it hit a northbound vehicle.
As the officer was speaking to those involved in the collision the driver of the SUV got back into the vehicle and tried to drive away. As the man pressed down on the accelerator the engine revved but the vehicle remained stationary since it was still in park.
The driver was removed from the vehicle and the officer noticed he was impaired.
An Operation While Impaired by Alcohol investigation began.
The male will appear in court in December on Operation While Impaired of Motor Vehicle and Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand for his alleged involvement.
