A collision between a tanker truck and another semi truck early Thursday morning closed the Trans-Canada Highway at Deacon’s Corner until about 10:30 am.
Police say that the tanker truck was turning north on to PR 207 from Highway 1 just after midnight when it was hit by another semi travelling along Highway 1 heading West.
The impact of the collision ruptured the tanker spilling gasoline on to PR 207. No one was injured in the collision but RCMP detoured traffic and evacuated a nearby motel and
Crews spent the night sopping up the spilled fuel.
