RCMP say that charges are pending after a dump truck slammed into the bridge crossing the Perimeter Highway at Roblin Boulevard.

The impact with the bridge ripped the box off the truck causing major damage to the vehicle and dropping debris across the highway.

The damage sustained by the bridge is considered minor.

The driver of the truck claims he had forgot to lower the box after dumping snow.
