[jaw_highlight]STORY UPDATED[/jaw_highlight]
It is not every day you see a dump truck bed ripped off the truck and blocking a roadway but that is exactly what happened earlier today, July 12, 2018.
RCMP say that a dump truck collided with an underpass near Spring Hill Drive and Highway 59. The impact with the concrete bridge knocked the bed off the truck.

According to investigators the bed of the truck was not fully in the down position when it slammed into the solid structure.
The 73-year-old driver suffered minor injuries.
The bed of the truck blocked traffic until it could be removed and the bridge inspected.
The investigation is continuing
On Friday July 13, 2018, Manitoba Infrastructure said that the northbound lanes of the approach is restricted to one lane while they conduct a detailed inspection and determine the repairs and timeframe required to repair the bridge. Vehicles should take alternate routes such as Garvin Road.
