    COLD CASE | RCMP NEED HELP IN SOLVING SEVEN YEAR OLD MURDER

    RCMP still investigating seven year old murder case

     

     

     

    RCMP continue to investigate historical homicide nine years after Charlene Ward was killed in Portage la Prairie.

    It happened on halloween in 2007. Ward ,46 was out with friends at the Cat & Fiddle Nite Club in Portage la Prairie before heading back with them to her home to continue the party. The gathering ended around 8:00am on November 1st. 45 minutes later Charlene’s body was found in her home on 5th Avenue North East. Police ruled her death a homicide.

    “While no arrests have been made in relation to her death, I can say that Charlene’s murder is being actively investigated by multiple investigators within the Historical Case Unit” said Sgt. Dan Barnabe, of the Manitoba RCMP’s Historical Case Unit. “We know that someone has information that can assist us in finding Charlene’s killer. We are renewing our plea for assistance from the public. This is the time to come forward and to share what you know about Charlene’s last day. ”
