No injuries or dangerous goods spilt after two locomotives and eight train cars derailed near Portage La Prairie on Thursday morning, January 3, 2019.

It happened about 9:30 am just east of the city about 83 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
RCMP say they attended the scene to ensure all crew members were accounted for and blocked a side grid road until CN crews are able to clear the scene.
CN Police are investigating the cause of the derailment.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying a team of investigators to the site on Friday to gather information.
