If you are someone who likes to go for an early morning swim, browse your local library, take your junk to the dump, pay your parking tickets or go shopping you will be out of luck on Monday.

Virtually all city and provincial services are closed on the first day of 2018 but that is probably going to be just fine as the temperatures outside are going to be hovering around -30 ( not including the wind chill).
