Beginning tonight the city will be fogging for adult mosquitoes.
Although the city has been aggressively larviciding it is not enough to control adult nuisance mosquitoes so a city-wide fogging program will be implemented.
Fogging is slated to begin at 9:30 pm July 27, 2019 and continue each evening unit the entire city has been fogged. Fogging ends each morning at 6:30 am.
Mosquito trap counts increased on Friday July 26, 2019 moving from a rating of medium to high. the most recent trap count is 104.
The city is also asking property owners to help in the battle against mosquitoes by dumping standing water out of containers around their property, cover rain water collection containers and fill in low lying areas on your property so that water doesn’t collect.
