The City of Winnipeg announced that beginning March 15, 2022, in-person inspections will resume.
In-person inspections will be available for Community By-Law Enforcement Services, Planning, Property & Development and Assessment & Taxation. Those departments will also continue to offer virtual inspections as an option.
The Water & Waste department will resume in-person water meter reading and inspections, as well as water meter returns, removals, and replacements. Customers can still provide water meter readings by phone at (204) 986-4445.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Public Education Branch will resume in-person presentations on fire safety, drug awareness and injury/fall prevention beginning March 15. The City note that although the province is removing the mask mandate, Winnipeg will continue to strongly recommend mask use in city owner facilities as well as on Winnipeg Transit. City employees will be required to continue to wear masks for the foreseeable future.
