CITY | RESIDENTIAL PARKING BAN STARTS FRIDAY

With the first storm of the season quickly moving behind us it’s now time for the big cleanup.

Effective 7:00am Friday Dec 9th the city has implemented a residential parking ban across Winnipeg.

Over the weekend crews will be working around the clock to clear the close to 30 cm of snow we received over the past few day.

Plowing operations begins Friday and is scheduled to end by Sunday Evening.

Friday, December 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 
zone: A, F, I, M, P, Q, T, U
 
Friday, December 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10
zone: B, G, J, L, N, R, V
 
Saturday, December 10 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 
zone: E, H, K, O, S
 
Saturday, December 10 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Sunday, December 11
Zone: D
 
Sunday, December 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

You can find your snow zone with the Address Lookup Tool, by contacting 311 or by using the Know Your Zone app. Citizens are encouraged to find out their snow zone letter well in advance of the start of the residential plow and to make alternate parking arrangements if they park on the street.

The city wants those who ignore the ban to know that vehicles in violation may be ticketed ($150)  and towed to a nearby street. If you believe you have been towed contact 311 for help in finding your vehicle.
