A River Heights man has been denied a permit that would allow him to build a pigeon coop to house fifty racing birds on his property.
Neighbours have been up in arms for the past several weeks when it became known a proposal was before the city to allow the birds.
Kerim Louwen has said that the neighbours wouldn’t even know the birds were there but residents in the area believed that there would be excessive smells and noise and were also concerned that property values could plummet.
