The City of Winnipeg announced on Friday July 12, 2019 that they are providing free unlimited wifi at 50 city run facilities.
Residents and visitors to Winnipeg can connect to WPG-WIFI by selecting it on their devices, open an internet browser and agree to the terms of service.
“It is a pleasure to cut the cord today on free unlimited Wi-Fi in 50 City facilities,” said Mayor Brian Bowman. “Through our partnership with Shaw, these public facilities will now be fully connected with no data caps for citizens and visitors alike!”
There are 46 facilities offering the free wifi signals as of today with four more being added to Winnipeg Police station as of August 19, 2019.
