The City of Winnipeg says that its snow clearing crews are ready to apply salt to improv traction on roadways as needed as a late winter storm is slated to pass through the city on Saturday, March 10, 2023.
The storm is expected to dump between 10 and 20 cm of snow before it moves out of the area on Sunday morning. Blowing winds will make visibility difficult at times.
The city reminds residents that the annual winter snow route is still in effect and vehicles can be ticketed and towed between 2:00 am and 7:00 am if parked on routes designated a winter routes.
