Winnipeg Police ran a sting operation during two weeks in March, 2019, looking for men trying to lure children under the age of 14 for sexual purposes.
Officers posed as children on a number of internet and social media sites and interacted with people including the suspects.
Eight men between the ages of 20 and 46 were arrested during the sting and charged with child luring. Six of the eight were also charged with Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child.
In 2018 police ran the same sting operation and arrested 7 men aged 29 to 53 for child luring.
