RCMP responded to fatal collision around 1:00 pm January 3, 2019 that took the life of a 3-year-old girl.

Police say the girl was in the driveway of a home on 1st Avenue North in Stonewall when she was struck. Stonewall is about 37 kilometres north of Winnipeg. The girl died after being taken to hospital.

Investigators say that alcohol and speed are not factors in the collision and the adult male driver will not likely be charged.

The investigation continues.
