Winnipeg police have busted a 31 year old man for possession of child porn and making child porn available.
In October of 2015 Winnipeg police were tipped off about child porn being uploaded to a Winnipeg IP address.
The WPS Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) began an investigation. Police were able to identify the computer through the IP address
Police executed a search warrant for the contents of the computer on October 6,2016 and found hundreds of images of child pornography. Most of the children in the images were girls aged 2 to 13.
On Tuesday November 15, 2016, Joseph Higgins from Winnipeg was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement.
He was remanded into custody.
