Winnipeg Police have upgraded the charges against the accused killer of Hunter Straight-Smith.
3-year-old Smith was attacked in his bedroom on Prichard Avenue in the early morning hours of October 30, 2019.
Accused Daniel Jensen, 33 had originally been charged with Attempted Murder, Assault Cause Bodily Harm and sic counts of Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice.
Police say that Jensen was with the child’s mother at a Main Street bar when he violently attacked her. He then walked to the nearby Prichard Avenue home and brutally attacked the child.
Hunter was taken off life-support on Saturday, November 2, 2019, and died shortly afterwards.
