Charges laid in connection to a fire at a daycare in Chemawawin Cree Nation on October 18, 2023.
The office of the Fire Commissioner determined that the cause of the fire was incendiary. Police reviewed video footage from the daycare during the investigation and saw a youth entering the building after hours.
A 16-year-old was charged for their alleged involvement with Break/Enter- Commit, Arson Damage to Property and Theft under $5,000.
The accused was detained in custody.
