RCMP have charged the driver of a pickup truck who failed to stop at the intersection north of Dauphin in August 2019 and collided with another truck, taking the life of two young girls and injuring three other people.

25-year-old Jack Winters from the RM of Dauphin is facing 15 offences for his alleged involvement including two counts of Impaired Operation Causing Death, two counts of Dangerous Operation Causing Death, Three counts of Impaired Operation Causing Bodily Harm, Three counts of Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm, Two counts of Operating a Motor Vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration that is equal to or more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, Causing Death, Three counts of Operating a Motor Vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration that is equal to or more than 80 mg, Causing Bodily Harm.
Winters was released from custody and will appear on court on August 11, 2020.
