In the early hours of April 20, 2022, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a fire at a two-story residence in the 600 block of Flora Avenue. Upon extinguishing the blaze, firefighters discovered the body of 30-year-old Steven Andrew Mingo inside the home.
Following an extensive investigation, a 19-year-old male, who was 17 at the time of the incident, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Mingo’s death. The suspect is currently in custody.
In a recent development, the Winnipeg Police Service released images of two individuals who were in the vicinity at the time of the murder. The Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying these individuals.
