Customers to save 3.1% per year.
The Public Utilities Board (PUB) announced on Wednesday April 26, 2017 that they have approved a drop to the Primary Gas rate charged by Centra GAs Manitoba Inc. (Centra). The rate will drop from $0.1127/m3 to $0.1017/m3 effective May 1, 2017.
What that means is that the average Manitoba customer will see a reduction of their gas rate by about 3.1% or $23 per year.
If you have signed a fixed gas rate with Centra or a private broker your rate will not change.
The Primary gas rate will be reviewed again in August.
