Winnipeg Police Chief Danny Smyth told the Police Board on Friday that the opioid Carfentanil is still in Winnipeg and some drug users are actively seeking it out.
According to Smyth Carfentanil is 100 times more potent than Fentanyl and 10,000 time stronger than Morphine. It is a drug that was designed for large game animals like moose or elephants. The smallest of doses, only a few grains, can be fatal in people.
