Gasoline prices are creeping up again but this time it is not blamed on the war in Ukraine but rather an increase in the carbon tax imposed by the federal government.
As of Friday April 1, 2022 the federal Carbon tax rose to $50 per tonne which added 2.2 cents per litre at the pump. The average price for regular gas in Winnipeg as of noon Friday is 1.752 per litre.
