Firefighters were called to fire in a carport in the 200 block of Sansome Avenue around 7:45 pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
When crews arrived on the scene they found a well-involved car fire that had extended to the structure and content in the carport. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 8:01 pm.
Fire officials say that the fire, smoke and water caused significant damage to the carport and contents. The home also suffered smoke damage throughout.
One person at home at the time of the fire was able to get out before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
