RCMP clock SUV going 168 km/h in 100 zone
A North Dakota visitor found out that sometimes Manitoba is not friendly. Our neighbour from the south was stopped by police after he was tracked travelling well over the speed limit.
Police say that his speed of 168 km/h is equal to 100 miles per hour.
When police approached the driver and asked him why he was going so fast he said he didn’t know that Canada had the metric system.
The officer wrote out the ticket and handed the dangerous driver a fine of $940 Canadian but with the exchange rate it’s only $687.80 U.S.
