Just before 4:00 am on Sunday, June 6, 2021, neighbours in south river heights were woken up to multiple popping sounds. As they investigated they realized a vehicle was on fire in the 700 block of Cambridge Street.
When firefighters arrived they saw the blaze had extended to a nearby garage and fence. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was brought under control around 4:20 am.
The owner of the property took to social media and stated that a neighbour’s surveillance camera saw four individuals lighting the vehicle on fire.
No injuries were reported
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is investigating.
