Brandon Police have arrested a 61-year-old Calgary man after he was allegedly involved in shooting a 39-year-old male and a 16-year-old female.
The shooting happened on Thursday, July 12, 2018, in the 200 block of Highland Avenue after an alleged robbery escalated to the point of a shotgun being pulled out and shots being fired.
The victims were both taken to hospital but the 16-year-old needed to be transported to Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre for more treatment. Is believed her injuries are non-life-threatening.
Police say that they have recovered a weapon that they believe was used in the shooting.
The accused is facing two counts of Attempted Murder, Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration and Discharging a Firearm with Intent.
