Man runs from police gets busted for drugs and outstanding warrants

Man runs when police question him on a Highway Traffic Act infraction.

It happened on Monday, December 11, 2017, police were talking to the man in the 400 block of Sargent Avenue when suddenly the man took off. Officers caught him before he was able to get very far.

It turns out the man had three outstanding warrants. When he was searched police found methamphetamine and marihuana as well.

25-year-old Jessie Emile Dumas from Winnipeg was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with:

  • Warrant of Arrest x 3
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance (Marihuana)
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose (Methamphetamine)
  • Possess Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Dumas was detained in custody.
